Neukirchen am Großvenediger is Upper Pinzgau's family destination. In winter the Wildkogel-Arena scores with the world's longest illuminated toboggan run (14 km from the top station to the valley) and a ski area that serves beginners and advanced skiers alike.
In summer the Wildkogel becomes a hiking stage with panoramic views of the Großvenediger. The national park starts right at the edge of the village — valley-end hikes into the Obersulzbach valley are a classic for all ages.

Neukirchen am Großvenediger in winter is a base for the Wildkogel-Arena — the ski area is accessed from both Neukirchen and the neighbouring village of Bramberg, with 75 km of slopes and views across the Hohe Tauern. The village itself is lively, with a ski school and infrastructure right in the valley.
