Bramberg — emeralds, hiking and the finest view across the valley

Bramberg lies on the southern foot of the Wildkogel, on the sunny side of the Pinzgau valley, and has been known for centuries for the emerald finds in the Habach valley. Museum Bramberg in the village centre (with its large emerald and mineral collection) is a solid bad-weather backup; the Smaragdweg trail takes hikers into the Habach valley.

Bramberg shares the Wildkogel-Arena with Neukirchen. So if you want to stay on the sunny side without giving up the ski area, this is the place — the cable car starts right in the village.

In summer Bramberg is a quiet base for hikers and e-bikers, with good local shops and short routes to anywhere in Upper Pinzgau. Vacation rentals are often in long-established houses with terraces and views.
